About the Conference

ICCAUA2027 is an international academic conference dedicated to advancing research, knowledge exchange, and interdisciplinary collaboration in architecture, urbanism, and the built environment. Its 10th edition will bring together scholars, researchers, professionals, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world through a unified scientific programme delivered across three parallel international venues and online.

The conference provides a platform for presenting and discussing contemporary theories, methodologies, design approaches, technological developments, and emerging challenges affecting architecture and urban planning. By connecting participants across Türkiye, Egypt, and Portugal, ICCAUA2027 seeks to strengthen international academic cooperation and encourage the exchange of diverse perspectives on the future of the built environment.

The CIAUD–UBI Portugal venue will contribute to this shared programme by hosting parallel conference sessions and facilitating academic interaction among local and international participants. All Portugal sessions will form part of the same ICCAUA2027 conference, rather than constituting a separate conference or independent edition.

Aim of the Conference

ICCAUA2027 aims to strengthen the relationship between theory and practice in the built environment by providing an international platform for the presentation and discussion of original research, innovative design strategies, emerging methodologies, and evidence-based approaches to contemporary architectural and urban challenges.

Through collaboration among Alanya University and its partner institutions, the conference seeks to advance scientific knowledge, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, encourage international research networks, and support the development of more resilient, inclusive, sustainable, and intelligent built environments.

The parallel-venue model is intended to broaden international participation and accessibility while maintaining a unified academic identity, scientific programme, and conference experience.

Scope of the Conference

ICCAUA2027 welcomes original, peer-reviewed contributions addressing contemporary issues in architecture, urbanism, and related fields. Submissions may include research articles, case studies, technical reports, review papers, analytical studies, and other scholarly contributions accepted under the official conference guidelines.

The conference encourages interdisciplinary participation from academics, researchers, practitioners, professionals, and policymakers working in fields including Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Art, and related disciplines concerned with the built environment.

All submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the conference’s scientific and ethical standards. Acceptance will be based on the originality, relevance, methodological quality, and scholarly contribution of the submitted work, subject to the applicable peer-review and conference requirements.

Participation and Registration

Participants may attend or present through the available online or in-person participation options. The conference will operate as a single international event, with parallel sessions coordinated across the Istanbul, Cairo, and Covilhã venues.

Participants will be able to indicate their preferred presentation mode and venue during online registration, in accordance with the official registration arrangements. The Organising Committee will coordinate the necessary arrangements with the relevant local organising committees.
